I am an outgoing and dedicated third-year student currently enrolled on a Mechanical Engineering MEng degree at the University of Leeds. I acquired a strong foundation in communication, organisation, and teamwork skills developed when I lead a team of five in running the Primary School Department which included organising events, raising awareness, and helping academically struggling students. I first began teaching in year 8 as a volunteer at my school's programme for children with learning difficulties. I've also been assigned as my class's shadow teacher in English and Maths for 5 consecutive years. Given my experience, I work very well with most children and teenagers. I try to tailor my approach to a variety of learners, especially visual and problem-centred. Achievements: • Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) Certificate. • Received University of Leeds merit scholarship for academic excellence for three consecutive years. • Honourable mention in MUN, American University of Sharjah. • AP Scholar with distinction award from CollegeBoard (An American College Entrance Examination Board to access to higher education). • Selected as Head of Primary Department in the high school’s Student Life Organisation (SLO). Organised a fun and educational spelling bee contest for year three and four pupils as well as a year 2 and 3 science fair with chemistry experiments and a trivia in order to encourage children to develop an exciting perspective regarding science.
