The activities in this course are designed to explore programming concepts (sequence, loops, parallelism, events, conditionals, operators, data), practices (working iteratively and incrementally, testing and debugging, reusing and remixing, abstracting and modularizing), and perspectives (expressing, connecting, questioning).

Scratch Programming Intermediate Level. Every week there will be 2 session of 1hour each.
Lesson 1- Lesson8:
This course is focused on the introduction of following coding concepts:
- Programming Environment
- Data Types
- Logical and Arithmetical Operators
- If else conditions
- Numbers, Characters and Arrays
- Input and Output Operations
You will be able to:
- Understand programming statements such as: conditions, loops and variables while creating games
- Procedural Coding (Variables, Data-Types, Branches, Loops)
- Conditional Statements (If-statements, If-Else-Statements)
- Iteration (Do-Until Loops, Forever Loops, For Loops)
Lesson 8- Lesson16:
The students will develop greater fluency with computational concepts (i.e. parallelism, events) and practices (i.e. iterative and incremental development, testing and debugging, reusing and remixing, abstracting and modularizing) by working on a self-directed project.
Testing and debugging
In this session, students explore a range of concepts (including conditionals and operators) through the practices of testing and debugging.
The students will:
- be able to explain testing and debugging practices
- develop a list of strategies for testing and debugging Scratch projects
Computational creation within the genre of games
The students will:
- be able to identify some common design elements of games
- Respond to design notebook question
- Brainstorm popular games
- Identify common game design elements
Conditions and data
In this session, students explore the concepts of conditionals and data through common game mechanics.
The students will be able to describe what a variable is and why variables are useful.
Create a unique Madlib story by collecting user input. The students will use computational concepts and practices to further develop a Scratch project of their choosing.
Create the foundation for a side-scrolling game. The students will develop greater fluency with computational concepts (i.e. conditionals, operators, data)
Operation Gobo 3
Use a repeat loop to animate a sprite in Scratch.
Use a forever loop to repeat an animation indefinitely.
Understand that loops can be nested within each other.
Operation Gobo 3
Understand the need for pauses between actions within loops.
Use code to generate random numbers in Scratch.
Add a variable to store a game score in Scratch.

- As these are small group lessons, so the course start date or classes during the holidays are tentative and can be slightly moved if more than 70% of participants have requested a change or are not available.
- During the course, if the teacher is not available, then we have the right to arrange a cover teacher or extend the course dates. We handpick the best teachers and do the due diligence for you so that the child’s learning is not discontinued.
- We are only responsible for the teaching of the courses and not the exam registrations. We can guide you upon request but we encourage you to be on top with the dates and submissions so that you do not miss out on important deadlines.
